Stephen Bayne
Stephen Bayne from Ladybank was Dux of School in 1938. He qualified as a medical doctor from the University of St Andrews and became the youngest practitioner in the Royal Army Medical Corps. This page tells you a bit more about his life. Stephen's diary of the Baltic Cruise, reproduced in its entirety as a facsimile, is a unique resource, which gives a remarkable insight into places that were about to be affected fundamentally by the Second World War. Some omens are present in Stephen's writing.
