The photograph above shows the platform party at the opening of the School Annex in 1932. Identifiable, (although open to correction), starting at second left in the very front are:-
The Earl of Elgin, Canon Paterson, Mr. Douglas (Rector), Mr. Rollo (father of the late Landale Rollo, just behind Mr. Douglas), Miss Burt, and the Countess of Elgin.

Bell Baxter Lives
Our online biographical archive is contained in the files below. This is not something that anyone other than the anoraks among us will wish to read from beginning to end. Indeed, many of you will be interested just in those people you know. But there is a wealth of information here that is of both historical and contemporary importance, and it is our intention to continue to gather information and expand and increase the entries. You are invited to contribute to this process. You can:
1. Submit your own life story.
2. Send us additional information about people you know or knew.
3. Spread the word among your friends and contacts. We look forward to hearing from you!
The title document of Bell Baxter Lives acts as an introduction and gives a comprehensive explanation of what we are trying to achieve with this online archive. Please take a look at this short document if you are new to this part of the website.
Section I deals with former pupils.
Section II is a list of graduations from tertiary education. We are aware it is sparse in places, so hope you will send us details of your graduation - it's quite painless!
Section III has some stories from past reunions, while
Section IV is similar to Section I, but dealing with Members of Staff. Should you be unable to find a particular member of staff in this section, take a look in the FP section. A number of FPs eventually became members of staff, but as they were pupils first, they are listed in that primary section.
Section V is an attempt to catalogue the myriad awards bestowed on our alumni.
Section VI lists the names of those pupils featuring in the annual prizegiving.
Section VII provides a perspective from the top of the School.
Section VIII has been developed from Bell Baxter's Finest to show the wide range of careers followed by FPs.
