Pupils' true colours honoured
ACHIEVEMENTS IN the fields of curriculum development, art, sport and service to the school and community were recognised at a colours ceremony at Bell Baxter High, Cupar in May 2009.
Thirty pupils received the awards from guest of honour, Sandy Davis OBE, a former pupil who had served in the RAF as a pilot and who was deputy force commander in Saudi Arabia during the First Gulf War.
School rector Phil Black said, “At Bell Baxter we place great importance in acknowledging the wider achievements of our young people.
“Our colours system recognises achievement in and service to the school, entitling pupils to wear a blazer with red braid.”

MORE than 80 pupils at Bell Baxter High School in Cupar were awarded their school colours in May 2012 for academic, sporting, artistic or community achievements. The pupils are pictured with rector Phil Black, depute rectors Hugh Martin and Isabel MacGregor, and guest of honour Bryan Kirkaldy, Fife Council's head of education, who presented the colours.
