D. M. D. Rollo and D. J. Whyte, seen in action above and below, have brought distinction to the school by gaining between them forty international caps. They have also played together in the same Scottish side on eight occasions.Rollo was first capped in 1959 against England. He has now gained thirty-two caps, missing only one (against Ireland, and only through injury). He has made two tours of South Africa, in 1960 with Scotland and in 1962 with the British Lions, and was in the Scottish touring party in Canada in 1964. He has also captained the Barbarians.Whyte was first capped in 1965 against Wales and has now eight caps. He captained St Andrews University, gained his blue at Oxford and won the A.A.A. Long Jump in 1959. He also represented Great Britain in the long jump against Russia in Moscow in 1958.
